About the campaign to Win as One in Bicester and Woodstock

On July 4th, we have an opportunity. We can get rid of these awful Tories – together. But changing who sits in Westminster and Whitehall isn’t enough. We have to change our political system.

This is an election campaign to change elections.

Our vote swap means progressive voters can elect a Parliament with an unprecedented number of champions for PR, laying the groundwork for the fight to change the voting system through the next Parliament.

The swap builds reciprocity and solidarity amongst progressives, in the face of a system that seeks to divide us.

Because if democracy is about anything, it’s about working together for the common good. And we can only do that together.

So, at this election, we can vote to win democratic change for the long term.

In key areas, we have been building up groups of local activists in seats we think progressives can win from sitting Conservatives. They’ve worked to coalesce support around progressive candidates who support PR.

These seats have endorsed their champions, and as well as the vote swap, are working on the ground in 30+ seats to help elect a caucus of progressives who will fight for real change – starting by changing the voting system.
